Trusting God
Trusting a person in general, is normally done when that person shows reliability, good character and is truthful. It is basically impossible that you have not yet met someone close to you that have failed at least in one, if not perhaps in all the above mentioned.
When someone betrays your trust, it can sometimes cause you to feel overwhelmed. Hurt, unforgiveness and sadness can creep into your heart without you even knowing it. It is important to know that mere humans are always fallible and perhaps even you, yourself have been guilty of hurting someone in one way or the other. Therefore, it is important to forgive and let it go. There is some comfort in knowing that there is at least One person that you can completely trust.
Trusting God is one of the most powerful things a Christian can do.
He is that someone you can rely on in every single aspect of your live. The bible teaches us, that God is not a man that He should lie. It also states that God is the same, yesterday, today and forever. We know that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Live. Bearing this in mind, it is safe to say, that we can put our trust in God. The Bible states that there are many promises attached to trusting in God.
There is one scripture that I would like to highlight today, it shows us that we are blessed when we trust God. I want to encourage you to look at this scripture from a different perspective. Normally we tend to think blessings come in comfort or material things. Personally, I believe, that the scripture is teaching us that when we trust God, we are ALREADY blessed, because we have put our trust in Him.
Psalm 40:4 (NKJV)
4Blessed is that man who makes the LORD his trust…
May your soul find peace in trusting the Lord with your whole heart.
Blessings.
